Established in 1789, Moraiva is located at the south end of Owasco Lake, in Cayuga County. Even though it is a small community, only 4,000, it has many conveniences to offer such as; its own local school, Moravia Central, banks, department store, hardware store, a grocery store, drug store, library, and a variety of churches. If you prefer to live in a small town atmosphere Moravia is just a thirty minute drive from Auburn, Cortland or Ithaca, or and hour drive from Syracuse. Moravia is also the home of Fillmore Glen State Park with it's many hiking trails and spectacular views, especially in the fall. Smaller neighboring towns include Locke, Scipio Center, Owasco, New Hope, and Sempronius.
